Summary: In my position as the technology coordinator of The Concord Consortium, I am responsible for an intimate understanding both of our technology resources and our business practices. Webmaster, The Concord Consortium, Concord, MA (12/01-present)
Summary: In my position as the webmaster of The Concord Consortium, I am responsible for building and maintaining all aspects of our web presence, including production and development web servers, site architecture, design, and implementation, integration of backend systems with our sites, coordination of contractors, and development of web initiatives.
- Developed an online members area for members of the public to opt-into newsletters, mailing-lists, and more. Integrated that system with Majordomo mailing list server.
- Created a MySQL database-backed system for authenticated and tracked downloads of our software products.
- Redesigned site to conform to the HTML 4.0 standard and Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Developed an intranet system with authentication over SSL from an NT Domain server. The intranet includes a document warehouse and a flexible, online timesheet system with optional PDF output. Other features include news and searchable/printable directories
- Migrated a static HTML site to an easy to maintain, dynamically generated one.
- Developed a consistent look for the site using server side includes, PHP includes, Perl CGI scripts, and cascading style sheets.

Webmaster, UCLA GSE&IS, Los Angeles, CA (12/98-6/02)
Summary: In my position as the UCLA GSE&IS (Graduate School of Education and Information Studies) webmaster, I was responsible for building and maintaining the GSE&IS production and development web servers, developing the site, integrating backend systems with the web, coordinating the efforts of the site developers, and developing web initiatives. Other responsibilities included administering the GSE&IS laboratories, and the student and staff accounts in the NT domain.
- Developed an online interface to directly edit XML data files for a mac-only, server application, thus allowing access via any platform.
- Created a MySQL database-backed faculty web page system that allows faculty members to update their pages over the web and post publications for download.
- Redesigned site to conform to the HTML 4.0 standard and Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Developed a consistent look for the site using server side includes, PHP includes, Perl CGI scripts, and cascading style sheets.
- Added needed functionality to the site, including database integration and full-text search capabilities.
- Developed new online equivalents for common functions, including searchable directories, applications through the web, and automatic posting of job announcements.
- Migrated the site from a Mac based WebStar server to an Apache UNIX server.
